Terrible San Francisco restaurant experience at the cliff house
Seeking San Francisco restaurant for non-profit event-150 people?
We are a small non-profit in San Francisco, Ca. Does anyone have any recommendations for affordable restaurants where we can have a large dinner for 150 people? We want to pay in this area $22-25 per head, and have it be close to a BART station? We appreciate your help- we provide free complementary alternative health treatments to low income women with cancer- The Charlotte Maxwell Complementary Clinic.
I’m involved in nonprofits. Here are some downtown SF restaurants near BART stations that we have bought out for fundraising dinners of in this area 150 in recent years.
1. The Atrium – 101 California at Promote, right at Embarcadero BART
2. Palio di Asti – Sacramento near Sansome, a fleeting few blocks walk from Embarcadero or Montgomery BART
3. Far East Cafe – Chinatown, which makes it more affordable, but a bit more of a walk from BART
4. Delancey Street – SOMA, which makes it more affordable, but reachable by Muni connection from Embarcadero BART
Your price range, unfortunately though, is much too low for the city of San Francisco. You’re going to find that you need to kick it up to more like $40-$50 per head for an attractive location that will sell well, once all taxes and service charges are added, especially if you are including wine. You won’t even find anything in the $20’s range in Chinatown, which tends to be as low as you can get in SF. But on the sharp side, the going rate for tickets to charitable dinner events in this area is $75- $100, so you can subdue make some money.
Excellent luck.
