Ko Chang, Thailand ….. nobody has been and can recommend some things?
Hello My partner and I are coming to Ko Chang in April 2009 for a week …. Can anyone recommend accommodation in the island, there has to be really like, just everything is really close to the beach, preferably on the seafront! Also can anyone recommend What are the best parts of Ko Chang to stay, ie they are closer to the 'Bars and Restaurants', …. etc. THANKS FOR YOUR HELP!
There are 350 + contemporary 2008 photos of Koh Chang, http://www.visualthailand.com The western side of the island is the part that develops with hotels, restaurants and beaches. This is the place to stay. April 2009 is the low season and will have no problem finding a room. White Sands Beach and Klong Prao Beach (my pet) has plenty of accommodations in all price ranges. April In all honestly your best bet would be to just appear on Koh Chang and take local transportation on the main street and stops at the hotels may be of appeal and see the first room before paying. Hotels have no problem with this. The last time I tried a new place further than the Internet (bungalow) and when I got there I looked and said no way. For what you pay to go see the room and find a place you will be pleased with before paying and getting stuck. There are some beachfront bungalows all over the beach that are not as they appear in the spot marketing brochures. Seeing first hand will make sure you are satisfied with their choice. You can rent a moped for 200 baht per day in the hotel and it is highly not compulsory. You can go around the whole island visiting the many waterfalls of original water, visit the eastern part of the island where the inhabitants live, work and the southern of the fishing boat docks are located. As far as the bars, not so many as you reflect, but there are many places to eat. You can get an thought of the photos http://www.visualthailand.com Koh Chang is my pet place and I have lived in Thailand for years. With a motorcycle there are so many things to see and explore, for a week will be the second of their lives. Doing more questions if you need more detailed information. information Klong Prao Beach has many fine hotels with bungalows / rooms on the beach or within 50 meters.
