Looking to rent an apartment in Boston – what is the best area for my lifestyle and income?
I’m a 33 y/o gay qualified. I make in this area 100k per year. I am debt free and want to ditch my car (read: I need to be close to the T). I don’t have a job yet (moving in November) but I anticipate effective IN Boston. I need a 2 bedroom (or a 1 bedroom with an office – I telecommute often). I delight in a vibrant city life (lived in NYC for a long time) so don’t want to live in the ‘burbs… My last visit I spent a lot of time in Copley Sq. and really liked the vibe and also Harvard Square was nice, too. I like to be close to shopping as well as close to bars/restaurants… I anticipate my rental budget to be in this area $1800 after all is said and done.
So I question, with this budget, and my lifestyle, what areas do you recommend? I don’t really need to make a ton of friends IN my locality – I have friends scattered all over the city so that’s not really super vital.
Thanks!
The largest thing i reflect you are going to want to look for is transit. I talked to a friend of mine that went up there in this area a year ago and he said to look at www.ForRent.com. I took what your looking for and came up with in this area 90 listings (see link below). Wish you the best and excellent luck!!!
