How does the height a bouncy ball is thrown from change how high it bounces?
I have to do an experiment in physics in which I toss a bouncy ball from a certain height and then measure how high it bounces, rising the height I toss it from each time. My results showed that the higher I threw it from, the higher it bounced. How does the height I toss it from change how high it bounces?
The height thrown from is directly proportional to the height of the bounce. Usually a ball will bounce a certain percentage of the height dropped from, like 75 % for instance. Do you see any relationship there?
