What to do in Seattle?
Hi, I'm going to Seattle later this month with my daughter of 9 years ancient. I found some fascinating things do or places to go while there. Not as permanently things I can find from the websites of tourism as the Science Center, the Space Needle, the line coast, metro, etc, but essentially things that only Seattle can do there, like some bizarre occult shops or restaurants, etc.
There are plenty of places to excellence in Seattle. I'm making suggestions based on some things people who live here to do and how ancient your daughter. Bicycle Rental or skates and journey the green lake. The Woodland Park Zoo is just a fleeting distance southwest of Green Lake, if that appeals. Then go over Phinney Ridge, west of Ballard and visit mane. Next make your way through Fisherman's Terminal Ballard past to see where the fishing fleet is based. Then you can visit Discovery Park – the visitor and the center on foot or take the bus to the beach and the lighthouse. Go on your way back, walking around the Fremont area – certainly odd shops and surprise your daughter with the troll that living below the bridge. Make your way down to Gas Works Park on Lake Union and watch the boats and seaplanes. Although it has specified that they want to avoid the coastline is an area sports meeting – especially for children. Fascinating things to see and do along the coast line: Ye Olde Curiosity Shoppe (undoubtedly one of the most extravagant shops you'll ever see) The Seattle Aquarium – fantastic for kids. A Journey Through Sound to Bainbridge Island in Washington State Ferry (just walking by – no have a car – to save time and money!), Restaurant Ivar, the former Spaghetti Factory restaurant. People journey Tillcum also leave the area facing the sea. Tillicum Village is a cultural experience that features native northwest alder fire traditional stew of salmon and a show with costumes, tales and dance based on traditiions local native -. Some other thoughts to rent a canoe at the UW Pier and explore the Island Lake Washington and Foster – lots of birds, frogs and turtles – maybe even a beaver or a muskrat. Nearby is the Museum of History and Industry (Mohai) Also on the campus of the University of Washington's Burke Museum – Dinosaurs and all other kinds of fascinating exhibits.
If the last fifty years has proven anything, it is that Americans like to eat. Unfortunately, our diet consists of too many unhealthy options and not enough healthy choices. After all, 61 percent of New Jersey residents are overweight. That is one wits why the state of New Jersey, as well as many other states in the last 18 months, are passing bills that require string restaurants to post calorie counts of items on menus, menu boards, and drive-thru windows. Any string restaurant with at least 20 locations nationwide would have to follow the rules, although buffets could be exempt.
A similar bill has already been passed in New York City, Seattle, and California in hopes that our nation will stop super-sizing our stomachs and initiation watching our consequence. This bill comes at a negligible time in our economy, as most families with small time or money take their children to quick food restaurants for a quick, low-priced meal. Posting calories may not slow the adults down, but this could possibly benefit in the long run, encouraging parents to make healthier choices for their kids.
A movement towards healthier food is sweeping the nation and it comes just in time to teach our next generation a healthier way of eating. Most restaurants are already donation more “natural” selections, smaller parts, and healthier choices. String restaurants are catching on and, as major brands go to better food, are needing to redesign and upgrade all their menus, menu boards, and drive-thru windows.
If you are an owner of a string restaurant with more than 20 locations, you may be affected by this movement for healthier food in string restaurants, and will need to upgrade all your menu boards. Check out these different menu board systems for all your restaurant and business needs.
