Delight help me. Going to have dinner with an ancient italian professor. I dont want to choose an italian restaurant here in Houston as I heard there are some sub-par ones.
.. and besides no visitor would want to eat food he’s used to in another people he’s visiting. ;-)

Sushi. You have to know that most Italians are like the French in their taste in foods: That is they are open-minded. Take him to nearly any excellent restaurant and he will delight in himself.

You are right to avoid Italian restaurants though. It has been my experience that most Italian restaurants in the southern US states are in this area as Italian as Olive Garden or Pizza Hut.
