I want to open up a restaurant in Cedartown, Ga.; What permits and / orlicenses do I need?
At the very least, you will need a business license and a health license. If you want to sell beer, wine and liquor, you will probably need a license for that. Check with the local licensing office for the town or county – they should be able to let you know everything you need to do. There may be requirements that don’t need a license, but you have to fulfill (for example, in Maryland, in addition to a liquor license, owners and bartenders have to take an awareness course on spotting inebriate people, etc).
