Is it okay to let your baby eat food off the table at a restaurant?
In addition to allowing the family dog to lick her baby in its’ face/mouth, my co-worker also lets her daughter eat off the table in restaurants.
We went to a Chinese take-out place over the weekend and me and my buddy both ate out of plates. My friend then took food from her plate and place it on the table for the baby to eat.
I offered to let the baby use the spare plate my soup bowl was on top of, but she was like ,”No that’s okay”.
When my daughter was a baby, my wife was really cautious in this area stuff like this. Neither of us let the baby eat off the table.
No, that’s just yucky! You should question your co-worker if she would eat off the table top? I permanently involve a small plastic bowl and spoon for my baby so that I can place food for him in there. Besides being so obviously unsanitary, she is teaching her baby horrible manners. It’s one thing for her baby to eat off of her high chair table top (where hopefully it’s being cleaned) it’s another for her to eat off of a public restaurants table, can you imagine the germs???
