Can anyone suggest a fantastic romantic restaurant in New York City overlooking Central Park?
Hi. I’m taking my girlfriend to New York City for valentine’s day and we’d like to eat somewhere romantic with a fantastic view over Central Park, preferably really high up. Any suggestions delight?

Rainbow Room (only open on the weekends, and I reflect it may be booked solid. Offers dancing and marriage proposals abound!)
Tavern on the Green (in Central Park)
These are all pricey restaurants as you want the best view Manhattan has to offer. Tavern on the Green’s food isn’t the best of these. If you want both a view and excellent food and wine, I would elminate the two in the park and I would focus on Asiate and Cafe Botanica. per se is incredible, but the tab will come to $1000 no matter how you try to save on the cost. It’s really worth the price tag, but it’s a lot of money to part with!
